Is Studio Haven really free for artists?

Yes. No monthly fee. No per-artist fee. No setup fee. If you have a slow month, you pay nothing. Studio Haven only earns a small platform fee when a client books with you, and the client pays that fee at checkout.
Where do my deposits go?

Straight into your own Stripe account. Studio Haven never holds your money. You connect Stripe in two clicks and payouts arrive on your normal Stripe schedule.
How much does a client pay on top of my deposit?

$2 per booking. It is a flat platform fee added at checkout. Standard Stripe processing fees still apply on Stripe's side, the same as any payment processor.
What fees come out of my payout?

Our $2 platform fee is added on top for the client to pay, so it never comes out of your deposit. Example: you set a $50 deposit, the client pays $52 at checkout. The $2 covers us, and Stripe then takes its standard processing fee (roughly 2.9% + a small fixed amount per charge, set by Stripe, see stripe.com/pricing) from your $50. On a $50 CAD deposit that's about $2.22 to Stripe, leaving roughly $47.78 paid out to your Stripe account. You see the full breakdown for every booking in your dashboard.
Do I need to be tech savvy?

No. If you can post a flash sheet on Instagram, you can use Studio Haven. The whole setup takes about ten minutes and a real human answers support emails.
Does Studio Haven work in Canada, the US and Europe?

Yes. Studio Haven supports CAD, USD, GBP and EUR. The finance tools handle GST, HST, VAT and US sales tax so you always know what to set aside.
Can I close my books when I need a break?

Yes. Flip one switch. New clients see a waitlist form instead of your calendar. Existing bookings stay safe and your client records stay yours.
Can clients reschedule or upload references themselves?
