Deposit and cancellation policy
- A $100 deposit is required to book.
- The deposit comes off your final price. It is not an extra charge.
- Deposits are non-refundable. They pay for drawing time and hold your appointment.
- With at least 48 hours' notice, you can reschedule once and your deposit moves with you.
- Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice forfeits the deposit.
- No-shows forfeit the deposit and may need a new deposit to book again.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late may count as a no-show.
- If you are sick, tell us before your appointment and we will work something out.
- Booking means you have read and agree to this policy.
Use it on your booking page
On Studio Haven, open Studio Center, go to Virtual Assistant, and paste this into the Cancellation Policy section. Clients see it at checkout, right before they pay the deposit.
Questions artists ask
Should a tattoo deposit be non-refundable?
Most artists make it non-refundable because it pays for drawing time and holds a slot you could have given someone else. It is fair as long as the client reads that before paying, and it can move once with enough notice.
How much notice should clients give to reschedule?
48 hours is common. Artists with long waitlists often ask for 72 hours or a week so there is time to fill the chair. Pick a window you can actually rebook in.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is plain-language wording most artists use. Consumer rules differ by province, state, and country, so check what applies where you work.
